While driving, I have on occasion come (back) to focus on the road and been puzzled about my location along my commute.
I realized that I had been observing my thoughts without engaging any of them. This came after several times of ‘coming back’ to reality over a period of years.
This discovery was akin to remembering a dream upon awakening. I had captured a sense of the last observed thought while simultaneously coming to focus and question my place on my commute.
Who was watching the thoughts and who was driving ?
I do not require an answer. This puzzle allows me to calm those take-overs from the mind.
